Your doctors & hospitals
Check whether your preferred doctors, specialists, and hospitals participate in a plan. Ask about referrals and care outside the network.
Health coverage can feel complicated. We help New Jersey seniors explore their options, ask the right questions, and understand what a plan may offer.
Let’s talk about your options
Before choosing coverage, look at the whole picture. These four areas are a helpful starting point for a thoughtful conversation.
Check whether your preferred doctors, specialists, and hospitals participate in a plan. Ask about referrals and care outside the network.
Compare your specific prescriptions, covered drug lists, pharmacy options, and medication costs. A plan that suits someone else may work differently for you.
Look beyond the monthly premium. Consider deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and applicable out-of-pocket limits for the care you may need.
Some plans include dental, vision, hearing, or other benefits. Ask what is covered, what limits apply, and whether you qualify.
These are different programs with different rules. Understanding the difference can help you ask better questions.
Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled (PAAD) helps eligible New Jersey residents pay for covered prescriptions.
2026 eligibility basics: NJ residency; age 65 or older, or ages 18–64 receiving Social Security Title II disability benefits; and annual income below $54,943 single or $62,390 married.
Covered prescriptions generally have a $5 generic / $7 brand-name copay; some generics may cost less. Medicare-eligible participants must have Part D drug coverage. Additional coverage and eligibility rules apply.
The state determines eligibility. You can apply directly through NJSave without booking an insurance appointment.

Some Medicare Advantage plans help pay all or part of your Part B premium. This is called a Part B premium reduction, sometimes advertised as a “giveback” or “rebate.”
It reduces the premium you owe; it is not a gift card. The amount and availability depend on the plan and your location. Not every plan offers it.
Compare doctors, prescriptions, copays, and total costs alongside any premium reduction. A giveback alone does not tell you whether a plan is a good fit.
Book a 30-minute conversation at a time that works for you. Available Monday through Saturday, 10 AM–6 PM Eastern.
Bring your questions, your current coverage information, and the names of your doctors and prescriptions.
We’ll explain available options and their tradeoffs in everyday language so you can decide on your next step.
No. Benefits depend on the specific plan, where you live, eligibility requirements, and the plan year. We can help you understand what may be available and which conditions or limits apply.
That depends on the coverage you choose. Provider networks differ, so checking your doctors and hospitals is an important part of reviewing a plan. Network participation should be verified before enrollment.
It means the plan’s monthly premium is $0. Other costs may still apply, including your Part B premium, deductibles, and costs when you receive care. Review the full cost picture.
No. Scheduling a conversation does not enroll you in a plan or change your current coverage. It gives you time to ask questions and discuss your options.
